Your Reservations Are Safe — A Note on Website Security

MoonTed Diary: Therapist AKI looking at a MacBook screen in a room with wooden blinds

There has been a wave of security news lately. A serious flaw was found in PHP, the language behind about 70% of all websites, and many large sites went into emergency maintenance. A few days later, another issue surfaced in a data compression library.

I checked MoonTed’s website and booking system right away.

The short answer: neither issue affects us.

When I rebuilt this site earlier this year, I made it serve only pre-built files. Nothing runs on the server side, so there is simply no room for the kind of flaw being discussed.

Your booking details are stored in a separate database that cannot be read directly from the outside. To reach the admin panel, I need both a password and a code that changes every time. This was the part I cared about most when building the site.

I also have an AI check the site regularly, so I notice if anything looks off.

That said, there is no such thing as perfect security, so I keep watching.

If you would still prefer not to use the booking form, you are always welcome to book by LINE or SMS.
